Village Fayre and Classic Car Show
The Village Fayre and Classic Car Show is normally held in early June and is the principal means to raise funds to maintain the village hall and to support community activities. Priding itself on being traditional, it comprises all the things that make a great British summer’s afternoon: stalls (including a coconut shy), children’s sports, fancy dress, a brass band, cream teas, raffles and a vintage car display. The teas in the Village Hall are particularly popular and are the main attraction for many villagers and visitors.
The Fayre takes a great deal of organisation; many villagers do volunteer but the more the better. If you want to help, please contact a committee member or Helen Carver. If just (!) to help out on the catering please contact Sarah Harding or Melanie Ingleson.
